The Belagaraha Chapka Rural Water Supply (RWS) Scheme is a comprehensive turnkey water supply project executed to improve access to safe and reliable drinking water for rural communities in Gumla district, Jharkhand.
The project includes the development of a 2.5 MLD (Million Litres per Day) capacity Water Treatment Plant, designed to treat raw water and make it suitable for safe domestic consumption. The treatment facility incorporates modern filtration and purification systems to maintain water quality standards while ensuring efficient processing of the available water source.
As part of the scheme, a pumping system and associated mechanical infrastructure were installed to facilitate the intake, treatment, and distribution of water across the supply network. The project also involved the installation of rising mains, pumping equipment, and supporting pipeline systems, ensuring the efficient transfer of treated water from the treatment plant to storage and distribution points.
The scheme further included the construction of essential civil structures and distribution infrastructure, enabling treated water to reach rural households and community facilities. Through careful engineering design, construction, and system integration, the project ensures a dependable and continuous supply of potable water to the region.
